Erasmus+ Course

Are you interested in understanding how sustainability is transforming business in Europe? Would you like to gain practical insights into the green transition and learn how policies create both requirements and opportunities for businesses?

This 5-day course dives into sustainability in business, particularly how to navigate in the green transition in the European Union.


Course content

The course introduces participants to the global strategies and agreements underpinning the European Green Deal, its policies, and its objectives. It explores how these policies create both requirements and opportunities for businesses. The course also examines the skills and competences needed for the green transition. In addition, it provides an introduction to the basics of sustainability reporting standards for large companies operating under the CSRD, as well as for other companies outside the scope of the directive that wish to respond to stakeholder demand (VSME). Finally, the course offers a gamified experience in the circular economy.

By whom? SYKLI Environmental College is a national specialist vocational college. We train professionals in different sectors to take concrete steps towards sustainability. Our aim is to build green competencies and increase the quality of sustainability education at all levels of the education system and throughout society. In Finland, SYKLI is known as a pioneer in environmental and sustainability education. SYKLI is the only institution in Finland offering a one-year-long study program in Environmental Education for teachers and other education professionals, as well as programs in Circular Economy, Water Management, Carbon Neutrality and Sustainable Development.

Course fee

The course fee depends on the duration of participation and whether the participant’s organisation has an Erasmus+ grant. The fee includes training, training venues, coffee breaks and certificates. It does not include accommodation, meals, entrance fees to learning environments, local transportation or mobility during the training.

For participants with an Erasmus+ grant, the course fee is based on the Erasmus+ course fee grant of 80 € per day:

  • 3-day course: 240 €
  • 5-day course: 400 €
  • 7-day course: 560 €

For other participants, the course fees are:

  • 3-day course: 330 € + VAT 25.5 %
  • 5-day course: 490 € + VAT 25.5 %
  • 7-day course: 650 € + VAT 25.5 %

If you have applied for an Erasmus+ mobility grant for fewer learning days, please let us know. We will invoice you according to your participation.


Trainers

Katariina Mustonen is an experienced teacher and trainer in corporate responsibility, sustainability reporting and competence frameworks. She is originally a special needs teacher and principal with 15 years teaching the youth in TVET Business and management.

She has then shifted focus towards CR during the past 10 years. Katariina trains both teachers and working life professionals and works closely with companies helping them navigate through sustainability governance and reporting.
