Arttu Hallberg works at Sykli as an expert in ecological sustainability, participating in both project and training activities. His areas of expertise include, among others, biodiversity and environmental counseling.

Jukka-Pekka Hares works as an expert in circular economy projects and as a communication liaison in the circular economy unit. He is also involved in developing Sykli’s communications. His expertise is a combination of communications, environmental knowledge, and business. Jukka-Pekka is interested in climate change, biodiversity, and sustainable society.

Riikka-Veera Kankaanpää serves as the director of the Impact unit at Sykli and is a member of the executive team. Her role includes supervising the unit, enhancing Sykli’s responsibility and impact, and working on sustainability and responsibility in vocational education. Additionally, Riikka-Veera trains on various topics in sustainable development and circular economy.

Anna Kemppinen works at Sykli as a project manager for projects focusing on low carbon, urban environments, and ecological sustainability. She is enthusiastic about space technology and the circular economy on a global scale. Anna’s specific interests include calculating climate and environmental footprints and conducting climate change risk assessments.
Mika Kesseli works as a water supply specialist and trainer, with expertise in the acquisition and treatment of drinking water. Additionally, he is involved in water supply project activities.
Anna Kettunen works as the vice principal at Sykli, acting as a deputy for the Managing Director and a member of the executive team. She is responsible for pedagogical leadership and currently focuses on Sykli’s pedagogical program in collaboration with the entire staff and stakeholders. Her work also involves participating in various development projects and networks and contributing to Sykli’s overall development alongside the Managing Director, quality manager, and other management.

Sinikka Kunttu works as a project manager for the “Kutsu seikkailuun” project and as a trainer for environmental sector specialist qualification (EAT) students, specializing in environmental education.
Timo Lahti began his employment at Sykli in spring 2016 as a part-time expert and later became a full-time trainer in the fall of the same year. Timo is passionate about building energy efficiency, indoor air issues, building physics, and learning new things. In his work, Timo is dryly factual, thoughtful, and straightforward, but an excellent performer in his comfort zone.
Ari Laitala works as a project manager in the areas of energy, low carbon initiatives, digitalisation, and data utilisation (including educational technologies). His role also involves initiating new projects, such as identifying new project ideas and organising participation in funding applications, both in Finland and internationally.
Antti Lämsä works in expert roles across various projects. He primarily focuses on data and its processing. Antti has previous experience particularly in web technologies.
Terhi Liettilä works as an expert in business and career services, particularly in KEKO and F.E.C training programs. She engages in corporate cooperation, finds work placement opportunities for various training programs, and guides students. In addition, Terhi trains in job search skills and acts as a job coach in various training programs.
Jiri Luojukoski serves as an expert and trainer at Sykli, especially in the fields of carbon cycling and IoT technology. He is passionate about ideating and implementing various projects. As a trainer, he works in the low carbon expert – specialist vocational qualification training program. Jiri is also the robotics coordinator at Sykli.
Riku Mustonen acts as a project manager and expert in circular economy and online courses. He also develops the “Professional’s Handprint” online course platform and manages its usage agreements. Additionally, Riku is currently involved as a project manager in projects related to online pedagogy and digitalisation (Verkkopeda, Alvaro, Shape It GREEN – Nordplus), and projects promoting circular economy (e.g., KIRPEÄ).
Katariina Mustonen works as a trainer in the cooperation & development team at Sykli. Additionally, she has a qualification as a special education teacher.

Ilona Nurmi works as a communications coordinator in the marketing and communications team. Her primary responsibilities include planning and implementing communication for Sykli’s services and producing marketing analytics.
Mia O’Neill is the Managing Director and principal of Sykli. She is fundamentally responsible for all aspects of the organisation’s leadership and development, including financial matters, educational management, major procurements, recruitments, and new partnerships. Mia is the go-to person for any questions.
Nina-Maarit Partanen serves as the director of cooperation, overseeing partnerships, product development, and development projects. The cooperation manager plans and executes new sales and cooperation initiatives and maintains dialogue and interaction with the rest of the Sykli staff. She coordinates client relationships and partnerships and oversees the progress of development projects.
Tapio Pelto works at Sykli as an expert in property energy efficiency and low-carbon solutions, as well as a trainer. He focuses on carbon footprint calculations and the GHG protocol in low-carbon training. Additionally, Tapio serves as a project manager for projects promoting digitalisation in cities and as an expert in other projects related to energy efficiency, circular economy, and low carbon.
Aura Piha works as an expert and trainer in sustainable development and e-pedagogy. She is responsible for developing and training the Professional Handprint online course platform. Aura also leads the “Developing Operations Sustainably” qualification module, e-pedagogy development teams, and trains extensively in sustainable development in customised training.

Maarit Pihkala serves as the lead trainer for environmental professional qualification students in environmental education.
Risto Ponto works as an expert and trainer in water management, specialising in the construction, renovation, and maintenance of water networks, as well as training in special situations and certifications related to water network operations. He also serves as a trainer for various certifications, including water work, work safety, and road safety, and in water disinfection.

Meeri is responsible for supplier agreements in Pasila, ordering Sykli’s staff benefits, organising meetings and training in Pasila, and matters related to the Pasila office. She also handles the search for Chinese cooperation partners, coordination of international seminars, and arrangements related to environmental training for teachers and businesses.
Joonas Raaska works as an expert and project manager in low-carbon and circular economy projects at Sykli. His interests include emission calculations, solutions for reducing environmental impacts, carbon compensation, and biodiversity.
Sini Raita-aho works as a specialist in the Impact Unit. Her duties focus on promoting the sustainability transition in vocational education and on projects related to responsibility. Additionally, she is involved in developing the “Professional’s Handprint” online course platform.
Katja Rautalin serves as the lead trainer for the environmental professional qualification in environmental services and as a project manager. She trains in property waste management and customer service content in the professional qualification. Katja also acts as Sykli’s environmental representative.
Jane Saarnia is the director of business and career services at Sykli and a member of the executive team. She is responsible for labour market training and various training programs offered to businesses. She also manages the “Entrepreneurship in the Environmental Sector” module of the environmental special vocational qualification and trains in related topics. Jane acts as the occupational safety manager at Sykli.

Sanna Sachse works as an examination secretary and administrative assistant. She is responsible for the administration of qualification students, statistics, management of training procurement contracts and their invoicing, accounts payable, expense invoices, and electronic archiving.
Merja Salminen works as a Customer and Marketing Coordinator. She coordinates marketing and communication related to the Professional’s Handprint and participates in the planning and implementation of Sykli’s services marketing.
Mia Saukkonen is responsible for the development and planning of Sykli’s marketing and communications. Additionally, she serves as the team leader for the marketing and communications team and ensures that the planned activities are carried out on schedule.
Annukka Soinola works as a water supply specialist and trainer, with expertise in the construction, renovation, and maintenance of water supply networks. Additionally, she is involved in water supply project activities.
Miia Stålhammar works as an Administration and Human Resources Manager. She is responsible for Sykli’s financial management and project reporting. Additionally, she serves as the contact person for the accounting firm and occupational health care, taking care of employees’ HR needs
Tiina Taipale works as a project manager in the Responsible and Sustainable Vocational Education (VASKI) project. Additionally, she provides training on topics related to responsible management and sustainable development. Tiina specialises in the impacts of sustainability transition on the working life, leadership, and career paths.
Maria Törn works as the lead trainer for environmental expertise, specifically focusing on waste management and resource efficiency within the specialised vocational qualification in the environmental sector. Additionally, she provides training on content related to material flow management, waste legislation, and waste handling and recycling, both in environmental professional qualification courses and customised training sessions.

Kirsi Tuikkala-Kalminen works as an education inspector for apprenticeships and as a system specialist in student administration. She is responsible for the initiation of apprenticeships at Sykli, feedback reporting, and student administration systems. She also develops educational processes and related systems.
Taru Uotila serves as the Director of Education in the field of circular economy and is a member of the executive team. Her responsibilities include managerial tasks within the unit, as well as developing the unit’s operations and generating ideas for new products and projects. Additionally, Taru also works as a project manager and provides training on various topics related to circular economy.
Pauli Vennervirta works as a sustainability trainer, covering topics such as working in the workplace, climate change, risk management, and environmental safety cards. Additionally, he guides students and serves as an assessor for demonstrations of competence.

Tom Ylönen works in Business and Career Services as a workplace expert, particularly focusing on F.E.C (Further Educated with Companies) programs. He collaborates with businesses, seeks work placement opportunities for various courses, and guides students. Training topics include lean methodologies, customer service, entrepreneurship, and job search skills.
Kim Yrjälä works at Sykli as a scientific expert, particularly focusing on the sustainable use of peatlands, the carbon cycle in agriculture and forestry, and soil health. The sustainable circular economy through the utilization of biomass pyrolysis to produce biochar is close to his heart. His goal is to incorporate ecological thinking into urban planning to increase biodiversity, enhance carbon sequestration, and highlight the importance of healthy soil in cities.
