This course introduces principle frameworks and methods for integrating sustainability into adult education. This course can be modified to a 3-day, 5-day or 7-day implementation, depending on your organisation\u00b4s needs and Mobility grant. Please contact us for more details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What will you learn?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During this course you will improve your understanding of global educational frameworks for sustainability, reflect on your personal competencies and nature relationships through engaging workshops and outdoor pedagogies. This course also presents a successful case example of creating systemic change in Finnish TVET sector by implementing a sustainability roadmap following the principals of the EU whole school approach. The course offers methodology and inspiration for adult education and integration possibilities and opportunities for sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Course content<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Participants will engage in sustainability competence workshops, outdoor learning activities and discussions on human\u2013nature connectedness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course also presents a Finnish case example of implementing a sustainability roadmap and creating systemic change for sustainability in the TVET sector, offering practical ideas for integrating sustainability into educational practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Course trainers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Ulla Myllyniemi<\/strong> is an outdoor education expert and environmental education specialist at SYKLI Environmental College. She is a class teacher, special needs teacher, trainer and lecturer with extensive experience in outdoor and environmental education, inclusive pedagogy and teacher training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Katariina Mustonen<\/strong> is a special needs teacher and qualified principal. She has nearly 20 years of experience teaching teenagers, teachers and school staff. She specialises in pedagogy, inclusion and educational equity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SYKLI Environmental College is a national specialist vocational college in Finland. We train professionals in different sectors to take concrete steps towards sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Finland, SYKLI is known as a pioneer in environmental and sustainability education. Our aim is to build green competencies and improve the quality of sustainability education at all levels of the education system and throughout society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Course fee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our courses offer learning opportunities for 7 days in Helsinki. If you have applied for an Erasmus+ Mobility grant of fewer learning days, please let us know. We will invoice you according to participation. Fees include training and training venues, coffee breaks, certificates. Not include accommodation, meals, entry fees to learning environments or transportation and mobility during training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
